Sara is a newly graduated pharmacist from Milan. Driven by her ambition, she decided to apply to Tzu, which led her to emigrate to the Netherlands.
Sara’s path into the medical field was shaped by a formative experience in her final year of high school, when a biology teacher sparked a lasting interest in the subject. Driven by this early inspiration, she pursued additional science coursework outside of the regular curriculum. This academic trajectory led her to study pharmacy, where her interest progressively converged on oncology.
A significant milestone in Sara’s career was relocating to Amsterdam to start her professional journey. This move, became a transformative experience for her. Leaving her comfort zone, she discovered new dimensions of her personality, gaining confidence and resilience.
Sara is a strong believer in precision oncology, a concept that felt unattainable during her studies. However, she now observes that its implementation is becoming increasingly viable, and she is excited to contribute to this innovation chapter.
What attracted Sara to Tzu is the dynamic nature of a start-up environment that allows ideas to be translated into action and that allows her not only to think outside the box, but also to create her own.
Her vision aligns with the dream of curing patients, a goal that resonates deeply with her. The opportunity to make a real difference in this field has been a motivating factor for her.
At Tzu, Sara describes her role as dynamic, involving various aspects of clinical settings, including sourcing samples and facilitating collaborations with other companies. She enjoys the variety in this versatile environment, where she can bridge connections and explore different facets of cancer research.
Sara brings a set of qualities to Tzu: her positivity, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in her colleagues fostering a collaborative atmosphere. With her energy and eagerness to learn, Sara contributes to a positive work culture.
Outside of work, Sara finds excitement in sports, which she values for their mental benefits. She enjoys watching TED Talks and podcasts that focus on effective presentation and communication strategies, always eager to learn and grow in her abilities to connect with others.
